Hi Roberto,

Sorry for keep you waiting.

The group plans to combine the roles of Understanding WCAG 2.0 and Understanding WCAG 2.1 (same for Techniques), and expects to have a single Understanding and Techniques set for all WCAG 2 versions, but no scheduled time yet.

Regarding to the Understanding WCAG 2.1:
https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/Understanding/

Please go ahead with translating it as you wish. Please be friendly reminded that it won't be an authorized translation as it's not TR resource.

As the original document continues to be updated, the translation will fall out of date probably before being posted, you may:

1) use a fork of the w3c/wcag github repository, and maintain the translation fairly currently by following the github history.

2) put a "current as of date X" marker on top of the translation, to indicate the version of the document that you translated.

Thanks,
Xueyuan

Hi hi,

sorry for the late reply due to my absence last week for public holiday here.

I am checking with the group staff contact about the proper approach to translate & maintain the document as it's updated quite frequently. I will get back to you as soon as I have clear answers.

Best,
Xueyuan

Hi Roberto,

I suppose it'll be early this week, but I don't have confirmed date yet. I am ready for the publishing on my side, but still waiting for responses from other sides...

If we're publishing the doc during your travel, how about you announcing it after? I will let you know as soon as I have news.

The translation is installed at below, it'll be public-visible once we formally announce it:
https://www.w3.org/Translations/WCAG21-it/

Sorry for any inconvenience here.

Best,
Xueyuan
